I'm Alan Nguyen!
But most of my friends just call me by the nickname: Mob. I'm a Multimedia and Japanese double major at San Diego State University who's slated to graduate in May of 2023.
I was originally a Graphic Design student, but in switching to Multimedia, I've explored numerous media of design, not limited to: illustration, 3D modelling, web design, interactive animation, video editing, and 2D animation. The breadth of the curriculum ultimately had me stumble upon motion graphics when I took a class called Sequential Media in Fall 2021 with Otto Lai.
Motion design has become a gateway for me to learn new, fun things and meet many new people. I've since sought out various avenues of learning animation and motion design—such as School of Motion and Ben Marriot's courses—and have grown through intense projects, great feedback, and wonderful communities of motion design newcomers and veterans alike.
Here's to the future of that growth.
